Btech Study (com.atech.btechaktu)
Developer: ATechPublisher
Effective date: 15 September 2026
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This policy describes how Btech Study handles information. We do not require an account, we do not sell your personal information, and most of your settings and files stay on your phone.
Btech Study is a free Android app for B.Tech students. It provides notes, previous-year question papers, syllabus, lab manuals, textbooks, and video lectures for supported universities. By using the app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
1. Who we are
The app is made by ATechPublisher. For privacy questions, feedback, or requests about personal data we hold, email atechpublishererror@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
You can use notes, papers, syllabus, labs, and lectures without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, phone number, or email as a condition of using the app.
We receive personal information only if you choose to send it:
- Feedback or a problem report. If you use Send feedback or Report error, the subject, description, optional reply email, and optional screenshot are sent through your Gmail app to atechpublishererror@gmail.com. The message also includes app name and version, device model, Android version, selected university, and selected branch. We do not scan your gallery, camera, or files in the background. A screenshot is attached only if you pick one.
- Optional Remove ads subscription. Google Play processes payment. RevenueCat helps us confirm that the subscription is active so the app can hide ads and allow PDF sharing. We receive subscription status and purchase tokens. We do not receive your full card number or UPI PIN.
The app uses the internet to load study catalogs, PDFs, images, and ads. Third-party services listed below may automatically receive technical data such as IP address, device type, and advertising identifiers as part of providing their service. That collection is governed by those companies' policies.
3. Information stored on your device
The following stays on your phone unless you send feedback, share a file, back up the device, or uninstall the app:
- Selected university and branch
- Light / dark theme
- Bookmarks and optional bookmark notes
- Continue-reading history (recent PDFs and progress)
- PDFs you save for offline use
- Cached notes, paper lists, and other study content for faster loading
- Whether Remove ads is active on this device
If Android Backup is enabled on your phone, the system may copy this app data to your Google account. Uninstalling the app removes files stored in the app's private storage.
Some in-app web pages may let you download a file. On older Android versions the app may ask for storage permission so that download can be saved.
4. How we use information
- To show the correct university, branch, and study materials
- To remember bookmarks, downloads, and reading progress
- To display ads, or to hide ads if you subscribe
- To process optional purchases and restore them on this Google account
- To reply if you contact us
- To keep the app working (loading PDFs, checking for Play updates, showing a rating prompt)
We do not use your notes, bookmarks, downloads, or reading history to build an advertising profile.
5. Advertising
The free app shows ads through Google AdMob. This may include banner, native, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Google and its advertising partners may collect:
- Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID)
- Device, app, and network information
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP
- Ad views, clicks, and similar interaction data
You can limit ad personalization in your device's Google Ads or Privacy settings, or reset your advertising ID. Google's policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.
While an optional Remove ads subscription is active, ads in this app are hidden.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Remove ads is billed by Google Play and charged to your Google account. The subscription auto-renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions.
RevenueCat verifies the purchase. It may store an app user identifier, purchase tokens, product identifiers, and entitlement status. It does not receive your notes or PDFs.

- RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
7. Third-party services
The app relies on these services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Realtime Database and Hosting) — study catalogs and some mirrored PDFs
- Cloudflare (Workers and R2 storage) — faster PDF delivery. Request URLs and standard server logs such as IP address may be processed
- Google AdMob — advertising
- Google Play — app distribution, billing, in-app updates, and ratings
- RevenueCat — subscription status
- YouTube — lecture videos you choose to open
- Gmail — feedback you choose to send
- Telegram — our study channel if you tap the button
- Amazon, Flipkart, and book publishers — if you tap a buy link. Some Amazon links are affiliate links, so we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you
- University and other websites — if you open an external notes, syllabus, or PDF link
We do not control how those sites and apps use data they collect after you leave Btech Study.
8. Sharing, retention, and security
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your bookmarks, downloads, or reading history with advertisers.
We may share information:
- With the processors listed above, only as needed to run the app
- If required by law, a court order, or to protect users and the service
Feedback emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Purchase records are kept by Google Play and RevenueCat under their policies. On-device data stays until you clear it or uninstall the app.
We use HTTPS where the source supports it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children's privacy
This app is for B.Tech / university students. It is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 where a higher age of consent applies. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
10. Your choices
- Use the app without creating an account
- Change university, branch, and theme at any time
- Clear bookmarks and delete downloaded PDFs inside the app
- Skip feedback, screenshots, and optional email
- Limit ad personalization in device settings
- Cancel Remove ads in Google Play
- Uninstall the app to remove local app data
You may email us to access, correct, or delete personal information you sent us (for example a feedback message), as required by applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We may need enough detail to find the message. Data that exists only on your device must be deleted on the device itself.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The last updated date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy. The current version is always available in the app under About.
